Job Description:
Keene Engineering, a family-owned manufacturer of gold mining and prospecting equipment, is looking to hire a few reliable full-time Shipping Clerks / Warehouse Associates. This position involves a wide variety of hands-on duties in a fast-paced factory and warehouse environment.
Duties
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments using packaging materials, pallets, and load/unload freight with equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 to track inventory, orders, and shipments accurately
- Operate RF scanners and other warehouse technology for order picking, packing, and inventory management
- Manage order fulfillment by picking, packing, and staging products for shipment according to order specifications
- Receive incoming stock, verify quantities against purchase orders, and stock shelves efficiently
- Assist in warehouse distribution tasks including loading trucks and organizing stock for optimal space utilization
- Maintain accurate records of shipments using basic math skills for calculations related to weights, quantities, and measurements
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all warehouse operations
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment involving shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, or inventory management is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution systems such as MRP or AS400 is a plus
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or pallet jacks is highly desirable
- Knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment processes and packaging standards is beneficial
- Basic math skills necessary for inventory counts and measurements
- Prior use of RF scanners or similar warehouse technology preferred
- Warehouse experience involving order picking & packing tasks will be advantageous
Responsibilities Include:
- Shipping and receiving via UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight carriers
- Packing boxes and crating equipment
- Operating forklifts (training provided if needed)
- General warehouse and factory labor
- Light assembly and product handling

- Keeping work areas clean and organized
- Assisting other departments as needed
Requirements:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to work hard
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor
- Comfortable working in a factory/warehouse setting
- Forklift experience a plus (not required)
- Basic computer skills for shipping labels and tracking
- Team player with a positive attitude
