What are the responsibilities and job description for the COBRA Administrator position at Kelly and Associates Insurance Group?

Kelly Benefits in Sparks, MD is seeking a timely, service-oriented individual to accurately and efficiently install COBRA / State Continuation accounts and company billed set-ups.

What is COBRA? - The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) is a health insurance program that allows eligible employees and their dependents the continued benefits of health insurance coverage when an employee loses their job or experiences a reduction of work hours.

Some of the responsibilities include mailing paper bills, making contact to gain missing information, monitor accounts for payment, process COBRA subscribers and terminations and maintain accuracy and timeliness with COBRA enrollment and adjustments.

Minimum hours are Monday through Friday 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required to achieve business objectives. Hybrid schedule also offered.

  • High school diploma, some college preferred
  • Minimum of two years of related administrative experience. Insurance benefits, prior COBRA processing experience highly preferred
