Through business development activities, grow sales by prospecting new / current customers to win new programs. Responsible for business development within targeted accounts or verticals from prospecting to lead qualification to quote to close. Deeply understand and apply market opportunities to Kem Krest, including prospective clients in current Kem Krest verticals in heavy duty, power sports and automotive.
Candidate must live within 3 hours of the following metro areas : Detroit, Grand Rapids, Toledo, Dayton, Columbus, Milwaukee, or Indianapolis.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities :
1. Lead generation and prospecting
- Prospect leads from own research and marketing efforts, and continued follow up
- Deeply understand and apply market opportunities to Kem Krest, including prospective clients in current Kem Krest verticals in heavy duty, power sports and automotive
- Attend and act as a leader at industry events to generate leads and reinforce brand
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, service demonstrations and proposals to prospective leads
- Provide actionable feedback from sales pipeline to improve marketing strategy and Kem Krest product and service offerings
2. Business Development and Negotiation
Lead business development activities to achieve new program awards, with a focus on programs greater than $1M-$3M million annual salesUnderstand customer pain points to align Kem Krest capabilities to solve problemsAct as a consultant by prospective customers by offering tailored solutions that meet their business needsProactively negotiate and craft contracts and SOW to accommodate on MOQ and forecast discrepancies to protect KK from future SLOBLead program and / or SOW contract creation and negotiation.May take a leadership role in MSA creation and negotiationProvide industry insights to executive leadership to drive Kem Krest commercial and investment growth strategy to address industry and customer pain pointsMaintain relationships with new and prospective customers, identifying and growing the account until such time that the account warrants an account manager / account executiveEnsure a smooth handover to account management or account executive organization once program is implemented and / or account is size warrants growth through account management3. Program Launch Project Oversight
