The principle purpose of this position is to compute and prepare data for journal entries, review general ledger and related financial statements. Responsibilities
- Ability to enter timely and accurate journal entries.
- Assist in month end close procedures.
- Timely and accurate reconciliations of assigned accounts.
- Timely & accurate posting of payable/receivable transactions.
- Ability to manage time to ensure transactions are recorded timely and accurately.
- Ability to follow and document process and procedures.
- Ability to work across departments and business units to resolve issues with transactions.
- Provide analysis of business transactions, this includes but is not limited to; customer accounts, AP & AR aging, OPEX, manufacturing costs, and sales scorecard.
- Ability to provide accurate data consistently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 3 years experience in accounting
- Ability to read, write, handle basic math problems
- Detailed oriented
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Analytical abilities and organization skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to learn new computer applications
- Ability to see and read numbers
- Ideal candidate will have a good attendance record, ability to work with minimum supervision, and a high level of accountability for their work
