Description

Are you an expert at knowing and understanding your clients and their needs? Our client is located in Green Bay, WI and focuses on two core businesses—products sold at the retail level, and private label manufacturing for many customers throughout the United States. Prospective candidates should be dynamic, high-energy and have the ability to execute our client’s strategic growth plan with distributors, brokers, retailers, and private label customers throughout the United States. The ability to establish and maintain deep customer relationships is imperative! The Account Manager is essential to our client company’s growth and provides limitless opportunities. A customer success and satisfaction mindset is a must for this position. 


The Account Manager will perform the following job duties: 

• Work with VP Sales/Marketing to create and execute strategic growth plan 

• Industry relationship holder with brokers, distributors, and retailers

• Manage a portfolio of existing business/accounts to drive new business through the addition of retail chains and private label customers

• Create and manage numerous promotional calendars with retailers to drive sales

• Maintain an outstanding knowledge of own brand and competitive products

• Work with VP Sales/Marketing to identify, lead and execute new product development and successful placement in the marketplace

• Work with VP and Marketing to identify marketing strategy 

• Analyze current market trends and sales data on a regular basis

• Attend pertinent industry trade shows and events

• Drive the execution of retail resets

• Participate in sales team meetings/functions 


Requirements

The Account Manager will have the following qualifications: 

• Consumer Packaged Goods experience/knowledge strongly preferred 

• Bachelor’s degree required (proven successful work equivalent may be considered) 

• 3 years outside sales required 

• Hunter mentality combined with farmer skill set

• Team player in an empowered team environment

• Demonstrated effectiveness in customer focused requirements

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills required

• Staying flexible, nimble, and dynamic to accommodate internal and external demands. 

• Excellent problem solver who sees solutions instead of obstacles

• Responsive to time sensitive tasks and follow through to completion

• Good follow up with team members, distributors, and customers – attentive and timely in response

• Ability to understand the pricing and market strategy

• Proficient with MS Office and ability to learn other programs quickly and efficiently

• Occasional evening and weekend hours as needed for field needs and trade shows

• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

• Travel is a regular requirement of this position. Regular daily travel throughout WI and bordering States. Some overnight travel required for retail resets and shows (5-10 times per year).
