Raw Material Planning Manager

This role will oversee a team of supply chain analysts and the day-to-day planning activities focused on raw material planning and all activities/strategy across Keurig Dr Pepper’s (KDP) Hot Supply Chain network.  The key role and responsibility of this position is to oversee the execute of daily raw material planning activities with the objective to ensure raw material availability to support daily production and overall customer service. This role will ensure proper communication of material requirements across both internal and external customers and coordinate between internal functions to ensure material availability through the integrated supply chain. This position will also work on assigned Supply Chain initiatives to support the business.

What you will do:

• Scope of responsibility will include all Raw Material Planning/Strategy (~$190M in working Capital budget management).

• Managing raw material planning team, focusing on Strategy, Raw Material Forecast, Risk Management, and the linkage to strategic business goals w/ adherence to same.
  • Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets business objectives, and deliver the best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
• Ensuring use of the raw material escalation matrix and partner with buyers and sourcing activation to ensure redressal of issues between cross functional teams and external suppliers. Develop and implement strategies to meet and improve supplier reliability and maximize available supply with increased inventory turns.
  • Close relationship with finished good multisite planning team (interlinkage of raw to finished good to Service)
• Accountable for management of KDP and Supplier Stocking Policy (Safety Stock Programs) (including Plant settings and Vendor managed programs) to include track and monitor.
• Team goals centered on service, working capital, strategies to drive supplier reliability (on time, and in full), and Min/Max adherence for plants and suppliers to include root cause and countermeasure management
• Facilitate use of and adherence to ordering proper economic order quantities.
• Drive service focus improvements and optimization on lead time between our suppliers and our facilities. Create integrated replenishment strategies to optimize KDP operating working capital.
• Continuously focus on minimization of “aged” inventory. Partner with cross functional teams to execute strategies to minimize obsolescence risk with focus on raw material setting management, rebalancing of inventory across network, forecast management with suppliers on end-of-life materials with the goal.
• Provide Raw Material Forecast for short and long-range projections to vendors and execute phase in/out strategies for promotional activities and product discontinuations.
• Communicate to integrated planners any service issues related to stock availability, and coordinate resolution, involving Procurement as required.
• Leveraging Demand and Supply/Inventory analytic tools to identify and execute mitigation tactics to address future risks
• Coordinate the relationship with the existing supplier base to effectively respond to the dynamic requirements of KDP’s finished goods.

• Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Supply Chain background preferred)
• 5 years of supply chain planning experience, previous experience in a manufacturing setting, or experience working in the Consumer Goods industry
• 2-3 years Management experience preferred
• Prior experience with SAP or similar ERP system
• Strength in Microsoft suite (PowerPoint presentations for leadership, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (including but not limited to VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts, etc)
