What are the responsibilities and job description for the DevOps Engineer position at Kforce Inc.?
- Interact effectively with co-workers and be able to collaborate with multiple teams
- Work with internal and vendor teams on various projects
- Works closely with DevOps Architect to ensure consistency and quality of solutions and knowledge sharing
- Take part in automating existing deployment processes
- Make recommendations to Development team regarding process improvements for continuous integration and continuous deployments
- Look to use industry standard tools for automation including those provided in Microsoft Azure for managing Hybrid deployments across on-premises datacenters and Azure
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related tech field
- 5 years of experience working with source control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure Repositories, Microsoft Team Foundation Server)
- 5 years of experience working with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Gitlab CI or relevant technologies
- 2 years of experience supporting DevOps practices
- 2 years of public cloud experience (Azure)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace/Application Insights/New Relic)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)
- Experience with general networking concepts such as DNS, firewalls, load balancers, etc.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell
- Experience with Mobile app and deployments is a plus
- Experience with Database platforms: SQL Server, MongoDB, DB2 is a plus
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible is a plus
- Hands-on experience with provision tools such as Terraform is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
