Lead Data Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in Plano, TX. Primary Responsibilities: Data Ingestion Strategy:

• Design and implement solutions for ingesting data into the landing zone
• Evaluate and interpret data from various source tools, even when documentation is limited
• Ensure secure and authenticated data transfer, especially when sources are internet-facing
  
  

Azure Services Integration

• Work with Azure components such as Event Hub, Event Grid, and Storage Accounts
• Determine appropriate services based on use case and security requirements
• Navigate complexities of Azure subscriptions (internal vs. external)
  
  

Cross-Team Collaboration:

• Interface with experts from source systems to understand data structures and access methods
• Collaborate with system architects representing the modern delivery platform
  
  

Platform Alignment

• Understand how the iPlatform fits within the client brand and its expectations
• Leverage Azure services while aligning with enterprise standards
  
  

Requirements

• Senior-level engineering experience
• Strong familiarity with public cloud platforms (cloud-agnostic mindset preferred, Azure expertise prioritized)
• Experience with data pipelines, cloud authentication, and secure data transfer protocols

• Requires a new architectural approach distinct from GitHub
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
