Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a Senior Data Engineer. Responsibilities:
- Exploring new technology products and using them to help our business needs
- Working on teams to improve efficiency
- Delivering system automation by setting up continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required with 8 years of experience
- 1 years of Python development experience
- Good experience with ETL technologies (SSIS, Informatica Power Center, Informatica Snowflake Connector)
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with snowflake and SQL Server database
- Hands-on experience on SQL query optimization and tuning to improve performance is desirable
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting
- Experience in job scheduling tools (Control M preferred)
- Proven data analysis skills
- Passion and intellectually curiosity to learn new technologies and business areas
- Strong data modeling skills doing either Dimensional or Data Vault models
- Experience in working with AWS
- Good to have - working experience with some or all of the following: AWS, Containerization, associated build and deployment CI/CD pipelines, Lambda development
- Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Maven, Jenkins, Stash, Ansible, Docker)
- Proven track record to handle ambiguity and work in fast paced environment
- Good interpersonal skills to work with multiple teams in the organization
- Experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM) is a plus
