Job Summary
The Closer plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, particularly during the closing hours of our facility. This position involves supervising and engaging with children, providing care and support while maintaining a structured environment. The Closer will work closely with children of various ages, including toddlers and infants, to promote their development and well-being.
Duties
- Supervise children during closing hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Engage in educational activities that promote childhood development.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diaper changes, and comfort.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive atmosphere.
- Assist in developing individualized care plans for children with disabilities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the play areas and equipment.
- Administer first aid when necessary and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Working one on one with the Director to ensure building duties are being completed
Skills
- Experience working with children, particularly in a classroom or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a supportive environment.
- Experience in toddler care and infant care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures to ensure children's safety.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children and parents alike.
- Experience in nannying or similar roles is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
