Kiddie Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Education for our new state of the art childcare center in the Lincoln Park Community!

This position allows you to lead a team of qualified teachers in providing the best learning and development experience for children and their families. You’ll have the opportunity to combine your ECE experience with business management skills to influence the operations of the Academy. As a Director of Education, you will be part of the management team responsible for managing the overall program including human resource development, staff scheduling, program planning, program implementation and evaluation; student assessments, family relations, community marketing, enrollments and academy operations.

What we ask you to have:

  • Minimum two (2) years of full-time experience in managing center-based programs in an Assistant Director, Center Director, or similar management role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in ECE or related field required, Master's preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive, solution-oriented leader with excellent organizational and communication skills and a proven record of maintaining effective relationships with staff, parents, and children.

DCFS Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education OR -64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 hours of college credit in Child Development, Early Childhood Education
  • AND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: - Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential OR - 3 semester hours of college credit in Administration, Leadership, or Management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
