POSITION OBJECTIVE: Under Direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Advocacy Receptionist will assist in ensuring the safety and comfort of children and families at Kids House of Seminole. Responsible for day to day front desk operations including greeting clients upon entry to agency, interaction with children needing monitoring in the lobby, monitoring visitor access, answering phones and directing phone calls and distribution of incoming mail. The Advocacy Receptionist will assist with the coordination of services at Kids House of Seminole by providing support as needed to staff and other Multi-discipline Team members.
REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer
POSITION TYPE: Non-Exempt
REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Related field, Associates Degree acceptable or High School Diploma with work experience may substitute. Volunteer work may substitute. Knowledge of or willingness to learn non-profit administration. The ideal candidate must be highly sensitive to the needs and welfare of children and prepared to supervise children 0-18 while managing other administrative tasks. Excellent telephone and office clerical skills and knowledge of office equipment. Comprehensive Computer Skills. Excellent organization and communication skills. Ability to work with other professionals and non-professionals. Candidates should be highly self-motivated, and able to work independently when required. Must be available to work flexible hours to meet needs of the center.
Other Quality Ranking Factors:
° Ability to communicate effectively with children and adolescents, ranging in age from infants to 18 years of age.
° Academic training or practical experience in and knowledge of developmental stages of children and the dynamics and effects of child abuse.
° Understanding of Non-Profit Organization Dynamics.
° Knowledge and Use of appropriate Professional Ethics and Standards.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the comfort and safety of children in lobby. Greeting clients and notifying professionals of clients being on-site. Answering phones and directing phone calls. Managing agency’s calendar and maintaining sign-in logs. Provide staff support by assisting with facility and operations maintenance, clerical assistance, and center cleanliness and safety.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
