What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Aide (Paraprofessional) position at KidsPeace?
We are in session all year round.
At KidsPeace, the Teacher Aide provides overall assistance to the teacher during school hours, as well as assisting on the residential unit prior to the start of each school day. Areas of assistance include the design and delivery of therapeutic treatment plans, instructional systems, and lesson plans in a multi-level classroom of adolescents during their residential treatment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 21 year old.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Some experience with acute emotionally challenged children or adolescents preferred.
- Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
- Must be able to complete a new hire training, Monday through Friday for 2 weeks 9AM-5PM.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday 7AM-3PM
