Where it is “Every Pet, Every Time” is seeking an Experienced Bather for busy Dog Grooming Salon. This position is a dual position Pet Bather/Kennel Worker.

We are in our fifth year in business in the Azle, TX area and our 40th overall year in the Pet Care Industry.

Position Title: Pet Bather/Kennel Worker

What We look for in a Candidate:

We are looking for people with experience bathing in a high volume/high quality Pet Grooming Salon. Must have a passion for pets & people and the desire to grow a fulfilling career.

Qualified candidates must be 18 years or older. Have a High School Diploma or equivalent (ie. GED, etc.). Ability to work flexible hours, Tuesday through Saturday. Ability to work the occasional Sunday and/or Monday, as situations dictate. Ability to work holidays and/or surrounding holiday windows. Must have exceptional Customer Service skills. Able to work in a team dynamic. We ALL work as a TEAM. Must be DRAMA FREE!!! We have a zero-tolerance policy as it relates to drinking, drugs, and workplace environment (to include harassment, violence, etc.). MUST possess good “Conflict Resolution” skills – ability to handle conflict with tact and diplomacy. Must have reliable transportation. We rely on punctual, responsible, dependable people as this is a full service, fast paced environment. Must be detail oriented. Ability to work fast while meeting high quality standards. Possess a positive attitude. Possess good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Ability to communicate with clients and other salon/kennel personnel to achieve requested services in the prescribed timeframe. Must be able to handle “icky/gross things” (examples are, but not limited to dog feces, urine, dirty, smelly, and yeasty ears, eye crusties, fleas, scrubbing dogs rear ends, anal gland expression, etc.). Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, lifting, etc. Cleanliness. Must possess a patient & caring demeanor, as our clients are living creatures, and as such, are subject to the same anxieties, fears, & moods as a human being. Must be self-motivated. Ability to be self-sufficient. Possess strong attention to detail. Possess high energy. Must be attentive, ambitious, and engaged.

All positions will be filled prior to April 30th, 2025, and the start date will be May 20th, 2025. While we will be filling these positions over the next few weeks, we will not hire just anyone. We will make sure we have the right person and right fit for our team.

Job Description:

Job duties/responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

· Bathing & hand/table-top drying of all breeds & sizes

· Thorough brushing, combing, and dematting of all breeds & sizes to remove mats,

tangles, etc. in preparation of tidy’s and haircuts

· Grinding, filing, and buffing nails

· Clipping pad hair

· Cleaning ears and ear hair removal

· Anal gland expression

· Sanitary trim’s

· Other grooming services

· Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment throughout the day and at the end of

each shift

· Taking dogs for potty breaks

· Interactive play care with boarding dogs

· Feeding

· Picking up dog poop

· Cleaning and sanitizing inside & outside kennels

· Entering data

· Book, open, and close appointments in database

· Inventory (supplies)

SPECIAL NOTES: While experience is always welcome, it is not a requirement. This is a PHYSICAL JOB! YOU WILL GET WET! Learning to express Anal Glands is part of the job duties! You will have to PICKUP POOP! You will be responsible for thorough cleaning and sanitizing! You will interact with animals. If you are able to work in these situations, are a fast learner, have strong people skills, and a great work ethic, then this can provide a wonderful career path for you.
