POSITION SUMMARY
The Flower Tech is responsible for assisting in maintaining proper plant health throughout the cultivation process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain proper plant health throughout the cultivation process
- Harvest, fertilize, water, and irrigate plants
- Careful monitoring of the plants for any signs of growing issues or problems; treatment for disease or infestation
- Assist with de-leafing and harvesting the medical marijuana plants, including hanging, curing, and drying the plants.
- Follow all policies and procedures on plant upkeep and maintenance
- Operate irrigation and harvesting equipment to irrigate plants daily
- Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping
- Prune and trim plants using shears, pruners, or chain saws
- Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers to organize and irrigate plants
- Maintain tools in accordance with all sanitation standards, and keep work area clean
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Previous cannabis experience preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of proper safety standards
- Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and situations
