Summary:
The IPM Applicator is a Tech Role. Responsible for all applications to plants. Chemical applications, foliar and chemigation/inoculation of medium, as well as Biological Control Insect applications. Help ensure that the crop is pest free from clone to harvest.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Handle, Mix, and Apply Organic Pesticides, Fungicides, Inoculums
• Perform all applications to plants of all growth stages. This includes: all pesticide/fungicide applications, Biological Control Insects, and yellow sticky tape
• Work with Fertigation Supervisor to make sure all tanks are dosed appropriately
• Document all pesticide/fungicide usage in inventory control sheets
• Track PPE and other application supplies
• Document all PPE cleanings and replacement dates
• All application equipment is cleaned and triple rinsed at the end of each application
• Make sure Pesticide Storage Room is clean and organized
• Help with scouting of plants and general sanitation of grow spaces
• Adhere to all Company Environmental, Health and Safety Policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee frequently is required to handle, mix and apply pesticides, fungicides, virucides, and sanitation products. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Generally working in wet environments and must make sure PPE is always properly worn to prevent getting wet or contamination from spray application. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus as well as have the ability to see and work in dimly lit rooms with the assistance of green lights. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
