What to Expect in the Role:
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of feedmill equipment including grain legs, augers, grain roasters, grain cleaner and feed trucks.
- Perform various manual labor duties assigned by supervisor.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean.
- Work safely and perform all safety requirements as identified in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Assist in training new employees. Attend and participate in company safety programs.
- Operate other equipment in the Functional area.
- Working knowledge of chain drives, and gear boxes.
- Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic components.
- Safely manage and handle pesticides, fertilizers, fuels, and lubricants.
- Comprehend and understand directions from supervisor.
- Comply with posted work rules and all safety procedures.
- Read and comprehend instructions.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
