Summary/Objective
Supervise students in the Career Center and at related activities
Essential Functions

- Assist students in career education opportunities by providing information, promoting CTE programs on campus, and preparing materials for recruitment.
- Oversee the Career Center.
- Collaborate with Guidance staff regarding scholarships, financial aid, job opportunities, career fairs, college visits, etc.
- Assist in delivering end of program CTE Technical Assessments.
- Provide support to CTE teachers by setting up guest speakers, field trips, career activities, etc.
- Provide support to Mohave Community College for placement testing, college visits, field trips, Career Quest, etc.
- Assist CTE Coordinator with routine secretarial and clerical functions for the department.
- Coordinate student services with teachers
- Help students with assignments to assure homework/projects are current.
- Help students prepare for tests/exams.
- Solicit input from the Special Education Department as needed to ensure appropriate services are rendered to handicapped students.
- Administer career tests, technical skills assessments, and disseminate career information as needed.
- Assist, as requested, in the transition from school to post-school employment and education.
- CTSO support services and chaperoning CTSO events with CTE administration approval.
- Perform other duties as assigned by CTE Coordinator.

- Ability to work with, relate to, and communicate with Career and Technical Education students, parents, teachers, academic counselors, and members of the business community.
- Ability to demonstrate keyboarding skills, use MS Office software, complete computer-related tasks, and operate general office equipment.
- Candidate must have the initiative and ability to work without direct supervision while using sound judgment when working with the CTE community.
- Ability to keep and maintain records in a discrete, responsible, and professional manner.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
At-Will Notice of Employment does not provide a guarantee of a particular schedule of work or a minimum number of days or hours.
This is a 10-month, 32-hour per week position. The employee will work eight hours per day Monday through Thursday during core business hours. Flexible hours may be required for activities such as Parent Nights, Financial Aid Night, field trips, etc. A flexible schedule will be created to accommodate such activities.
Required Education And Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education And Experience
- Associate Degree preferred or equivalent experience in CTE

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Salary : $40,000 - $60,000
