What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Manager position at Kirkhaven?
We are seeking a Full Time Recreation Manager that would oversee the Activities Department. This position is 40 hours per week Monday thru Friday.
Job Duties include:
1. Oversight of making the monthly calendar. Organize meetings and create the final calendar to be posted.
2. Attend daily morning report meetings and communicate necessary information to the department.
3. Decorate rooms for socials, running socials and getting all the required supplies for socials.
4.Create catering forms for the kitchen monthly based on the calendar.
5. Ensure all activities employees are scheduled, organize the schedules, adjust the schedules as needed for call off, vacations and outbreaks etc.
6. Be the point person for all things in the department.
7. Caseload of 1 unit to plan, implement and evaluate large and small group activities and socialization to enrich the lives of the residents.
Qualifications include: BS in recreation/Leisure studies, music therapy, art education or related field or AAS and 5 years equivalent experience; 3 years experience in Long Term Care; minimum 1 year experience in recreation program delivery; Clean Drivers license.
