Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, and porter duties.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including floors, walls, and windows
- Perform industrial cleaning tasks, including buffing and stripping of floors
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies to maintain a high level of cleanliness
- Carry out custodial duties, including emptying trash and recycling bins, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and sweeping and mopping floors
- Conduct porter duties, including opening and closing facilities, and providing assistance to employees and visitors
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
- Perform residential painting tasks, including preparing surfaces, applying paint, and cleaning up after painting
- Collaborate with other facilities maintenance staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
Skills:
- Experience in facilities maintenance, commercial cleaning, and custodial work
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and techniques
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality
- Experience with residential painting tasks
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.75 - $15.08 per hour
