We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in designated areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained and presentable.
- Assist with custodial duties in both commercial and residential properties, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are met.
- Carry out industrial cleaning tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain an organized supply inventory and ensure cleaning equipment is in good working condition.
- Provide porter services when necessary, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment as needed.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently while completing assigned duties.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working collaboratively within a team environment.
