Job Summary
Assigned to a CNC machine: Maintains a high level of productivity and safety awareness while working as part of a crew to fill Customer orders.
Job Responsibilities
• Operation of a CNC Plasma, Oxy fuel burning machine or CNC milling machine
• Ensures that the machine is in proper running condition and the machine and torches are square before operation of machine
• Reads the order and matches order to material before burning material
• Verify that the test report is correct for the material being processed
• Does a test run to ensure program is running properly
• Does a first article inspection to verify part is correct to program and order
• Documents all pertinent information on shop order
• Stamps or marks parts to order information
• Loads program(s) into computer
• Cuts scrap for easy off load from machine
• Keeps machine and work area clean and orderly
Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED
• Or one to 3 months related experience and/or training
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
