What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Developer – Trading / Investment products position at KNM Resources?
Overview: Developer will have their hands in all areas of the business: Workflow process, Trading application, ETF roll out, CRM build out, sales reporting. They will define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications and reports. Document software specifications. Support the achievement of business requirements of a stable & growing Investment Management Company & their team of Traders. This is a contract position for a 12 month assignment with the potential to become a permanent employee. Company will sponsor.
Responsibilities:
• Ability to communicate the components intrinsic to the trade process: purchase/sale, movement, clearing of financial products / investment vehicles.
• Ability to identify the components of financial products (e.g. – dividends and interest income for stocks; interest payments for bonds, etc.)
• Write code in SQL to facilitate the production of end of day trade files to the various administrators and back offices that are associated with the accounts.
• Develop software solutions & reports that offer the firm a competitive advantage. Focus is on the backend of the portfolio – once a security is selected, program to trade and monitor the security.
• Design, create and modify databases so firm can leverage data in multiple ways. Plan, design & install data processing systems. Integrate web-based tools with various backend databases such as MySQL, MS Access and SQL Server.
• Create and maintain documentation for software projects. Write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Make presentations of findings, recommendations, and specifications in formal reports and oral presentations
