IS Software Developer

Job Position: IS Software Developer

Purpose: The purpose of the Software Developer is to provide custom technology solutions for the department and the overall company initiatives. This role will involve developing and managing the full spectrum of multiple internal custom software development projects. This position will report to the Director of IT in the Information Services department.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration with management and various business units to identify custom tools and solutions needs.
• Front-end/web development of multiple internal software projects, simultaneously ranging from our company portal development spanning multiple business units and needs, as well as other custom tools.
• Database design and management associated with all software projects as needed.
• Managing API and SQL integrations between CRM, ERP, and other miscellaneous software that support custom tools and databases.
• System Administration related to all custom-built solutions, including identity and access management.
• Complete and maintain documentation of all custom tools and software developed.
• Other project duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or other related degree. Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3-5 years experience in a similar position is preferred.
• Experience or working knowledge in a variety of languages such as JavaScript, Angular, Python, SQL, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of an organization in order to determine needs and deliverables.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time
• Must be capable of working in inclement conditions to include extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Must be physically capable of manually digging & back-filling holes and trenches.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
