Kodak Alaris Colorado is the home of Kodak Moments Thermal Media Manufacturing and the Windsor Regional Distribution Center. The operations are responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of thermal media for photographic applications.
Job Summary
Kodak Moments Colorado is seeking an individual to join a high-performance work team at its manufacturing facility in Windsor, Colorado. This role will directly support the Thermal Media Manufacturing business through the management, upkeep, and preparation of its gravure printing hardware fleet. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to working safely with hazardous chemicals; equipment disassembly, cleaning, maintenance, warehousing, and manufacturing preparation; managing consumable inventories to ensure spare parts are readily available; and assisting printing press teams with changeovers and hardware replacements as needed. This role will work under the immediate direction of a senior Cylinder Room Leader who will guide day-to-day responsibilities and directly report to the Technical and Operations Manager for the area. This individual will be expected to work safely; be a collaborator; effectively communicate with Operators, Mechanics, Technical Staff, and Management; and follow standardized procedures.
Performance Dimensions and Tasks
Equipment Preparation & Setup – Time Spent 70%
Follow standard procedures to disassemble gravure printing hardware; wear proper personal protective equipment to clean hazardous chemical residuals from hardware; inspect equipment for defective parts or failures; clean equipment; operate industrial parts washer and caustic dip tank; rebuild hardware; replace consumable hardware such as sacrificial parts, bearings, etc.; prepare hardware for installation in the gravure presses
Shipping & Receiving – Time Spent 10%
Prepare gravure printing hardware for shipping; package hardware in crates; receive and uncrate returned hardware; perform initial quality inspections of hardware
Equipment Warehousing & Handling – Time Spent 10%
Utilize riding and hand driven trucks to maneuver gravure printing hardware in warehouse; store and track gravure hardware locations; retrieve spare hardware from storage locations
Printing Team Support & Changeovers – Time Spent 10%
Assist gravure printing teams with weekly manufacturing campaign startups and product changeovers; remove equipment from gravure presses and relocate to the cylinder room; retrieve prepared hardware from cylinder room and transport to the printing presses; prepare gravure presses for manufacturing at proper set points
