What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Manager position at Kolter Homes?
Kolter Homes is in search of a highly qualified Construction Manager, responsible for managing all aspects of the assigned home building processes according to Kolter Homes’ highest quality standards and local building codes. They are responsible for adhering to budgets, maintaining the construction schedule, while providing exceptional levels of customer service.
Position Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Oversight of homes under construction, under the supervision of the Senior Manager to ensure schedule and quality adherence, while delivering homes within budget requirements
- Conduct Customer Orientations (pre-construction and pre-drywall) to ensure that customers have thorough understanding of the homebuilding process and deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Ensure each trade’s understanding of and strict adherence to established Scopes of Work, schedules, plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Review all applicable job-specific information with trade contractors prior to the commencement of work
- Measure and evaluate trade contractor performance and provide feedback on a regular basis
- Maintain jobsite cleanliness at all times to ensure top community appearance
- Assist in monitoring SWPPP inspections and corrective actions to ensure compliance at all times
- Ensure all homes are 100% complete at time of Quality Assurance Inspection and additionally complete for New Home Orientation
- Read, interpret, and thoroughly understand construction documents (i.e. structural and architectural blueprints)
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of residential construction management experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Drivers license with clean record and active insurance
- Ability to use and understand construction management software (Buildpro)
- Proficient computer skills (i.e. email, Microsoft Office products)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to think critically and arrive at decisions in a timely fashion
- Work effectively in high pressure situations
