- Project Planning & Tracking – Learn how to develop and maintain project work plans, schedules, and reports.
- Collaboration & Communication – Participate in cross-functional team meetings, capturing key updates, risks, and decisions.
- Risk & Issue Management – Observe how project managers identify, track, and escalate project risks and resource challenges.
- Tools & Processes – Gain hands-on exposure to Komatsu’s project management methodologies, templates, and tracking systems.
- Continuous Improvement – Support initiatives that improve program management tools, reporting, and knowledge sharing across the team.
- Professional Development – Build skills in communication, teamwork, time management, and business process awareness.
- Education: Actively enrolled in a Business, Project Management, or Engineering Program from a 4-year accredited college/university
- Interest in project management, engineering, or manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with project management and product development lifecycles is a plus.
- Must be able to apply their academic background to real business world experiences.
- Experience: Prior experience with work study programs, school or volunteer leadership roles, participated on teams or in clubs, professional organizations, etc. preferred.
- Soft Skills: Must have Excellent written and verbal communications. Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and easily adapt to new challenges and business working environment. Strong motivation to make contributions to Komatsu and strong motivation to drive results.
- PC Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically with Excel (Pivot Tables), Power Point (slide presentations) and other summary and analysis tools. Must demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Travel: Some travel may be required.
