Position Summary
The Assistant Financial Controller supports the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulations specific to the developmental disability and healthcare sectors. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and key accounting functions while supporting BHA’s mission of delivering exceptional services. This position is based onsite in Kansas City, MO.

Experience & Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with financial software and advanced Excel skills.
Preferred
- Master’s degree and/or CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or ABA services.
- Experience with strategic financial planning, budgeting, and risk management.
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
