A rapidly growing commercial flooring company in downtown Silver Spring is seeking a full-time, experienced commercial flooring Project Manager to manage a portfolio of projects. Duties include coordinating with General Contractors, Vendors, as well as coordinating and overseeing Field Crews, Assistant Project Manager, and Superintendent.
Responsibilities include:
- Project scheduling and allocation of resources and materials to meet project deadlines
- Managing submittals of required samples and the products data
- Validation of the Takeoff/Estimating Quantities before placing purchase orders
- Final negotiations with subcontractors
- Initiating and pricing change orders
- Monthly billing to customers
- Overseeing the field operations and project close-outs
- Relationship building with target General Contractors
- Managing, training and mentoring of junior staff
Qualifications:
- Associate Level in Construction management or similar
- Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience
- 3 years of Flooring experince (Carpet, Resilient & Ceramic) Preferred
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong leadership qualities
