The Role:



The Senior Brand Manager, Global Marketing & Innovation is responsible for helping to identify and develop innovation and growth opportunities for the global Wellness business. A key part of this role will be leading the development and execution of marketing strategy and programs to achieve the business objectives, in both the short and long term. Under the direction of the Associate Director, this position initiates and executes projects across the Hill's Wellness business and works closely with the cross-functional team to identify and validate opportunities, develop strategies, and drive value. This role is also responsible for our Global Sustainability Program, leading strategy development, collaborating with regional & cross functional teams, monitoring implementation and reporting back to the corporate team.

What you will do

  • Handle all elements of the marketing mix. Maximize all these areas relative to the category brand and recommended actions for improvement.
  • Understand & embrace global equity and brand strategies while ensuring creative & flawless execution.
  • Take full responsibility for the brand Profit and Loss statements - by controlling pricing, monitoring cost, and managing the advertising expenses.
  • Prepare an annual and mid-year business plan. Present this plan to local, regional and corporate management as needed, and reviews it occasionally during the year

  • Manage the matrix of a complex agency system.
  • Advise global and regional teams regarding customers, competition and market
  • Lead Media Planning and on-going flowchart management.
  • Monitor Research Grid for the category and Insights development.
  • Develops recommendations and action plans to grow profitability and improve margin based on the competition in the market.
  • Make major contributions to the development, assessment and presentation of the business strategy.
  • Manages cross-functional partners such as: Customer Development, Logistics, Manufacturing (where appropriate), Purchasing/planning (where appropriate), Brand Accounting, Insights, and Advertising Agency.
  • Monitor the market as a whole: consumers, competitors, industry, trade, in order to analyze and track key trends and developments.

It is crucial to have a pulse on the big picture to identify areas of opportunity for products and programs, develop consumer strategies that incorporate consumer insights, and have an awareness of competitor activities to build 360 marketing strategies.

In this role, you’ll establish partnerships with multiple parties including internal cross-functional teams, local retail marketing and Customer Development. These relationships thrive on mutual trust and integrity to achieve deliverables and execute against the strategy and goals.
You are an innovator-

You will look for opportunities to improve and seek creative solutions while managing the brand portfolio, consumer and trade promotion, market research, product development, volume and operations planning, and financial mix of brand/product line.
You are an advisor-

It’s important to understand business trends in consumer marketing and advise global and regional teams regarding customers, competition and market
Lead cross-functional innovation project teams providing direction, delivering against key project milestones, communicating within the project team and presenting the project to the leadership team

Manage the development and execution of brand strategies for new product launches, as well as packaging updates, reformulations and other product improvements
Works across and gains input from the regional teams to help develop global strategy and innovation plans
Manages marketing communication tools, claims database, trademark clearance, invoice processing, and project initiation request processes
Works with the local Brand Teams, Consumer Insights and key stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation or business growth and to develop tangible solutions to seize these opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Marketing or any related field
  • Experience in sales roles or adjacent experiences required
  • Experience working in consumer product goods
  • Consumer Goods Industry along with Functional Experience
  • At least 5 years Brand Management, Customer Marketing, or Trade Marketing
  • Ability to manage and work across a diverse, cross-functional team of professionals, including Brand Marketing, Science and Technology, Finance, Customer Development, and Supply Chain
