KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Functional Resource Management to join our Audit Resource Management organization.

Responsibilities:

• Apply thorough resource deployment knowledge to develop and implement onboarding and staffing strategies for a Service Network or Business Unit; align resources with engagement demands to optimize productivity and maintain reasonable workloads, fostering skill development; resolve complex conflicts and escalate issues to Associate Director or Director, as necessary
• Oversee staff work products and lead projects, while managing deadlines and expectations
• Contribute to staffing decisions, supervise staff, and provide feedback
• Provide accurate weekly and monthly reports on projected/actual hours, utilization, and headcount; monitor workload balance and assist Associate Director or Director with financial planning process
• Manage practice-wide strategic initiatives and projects in support of resource deployment strategy; stay informed about business and regulatory impacts on resourcing needs
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions based on experience
  
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years of recent experience in resource management or client service delivery; preferably within a professional services environment
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; equivalent work experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, v-lookups, and complex formulas
• Ability to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high-performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and critical thinking skills with the ability to effectively develop and foster strong relationships with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; capability to work collaboratively as well as independently; strong presentation and negotiation skills
