Lead Loading Supervisor

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Loading Supervisor to join our team in Lynchburg, VA. This is a temp-to-direct hire opportunity for a candidate who is ready to step into a leadership role within a dynamic and growing company. As a Lead Loading Supervisor, you will oversee the loading operations, ensure safety standards are maintained, and supervise a team of loaders to meet company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily loading operations to ensure efficient and accurate movement of materials and products.
Train, motivate, and manage a team of loaders to meet productivity, quality, and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
Perform regular safety audits and implement improvements as needed.
Monitor, operate and maintain equipment, including forklifts, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Prepare and maintain necessary documentation related to loading operations.
Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely deliveries.
Resolve operational issues and assist with troubleshooting when needed.

Qualifications:

Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is ideal.
OSHA certification (or willingness to obtain) is preferred.
Forklift experience is highly desirable.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Must be detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or relevant training is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Overtime
