Your Role
As an Operational Key Account Manager, you will stablish and maintain relationship with customer in North America and abroad; You will participate in regular contact to facilitate better understanding of customer needs, establish trust and serve as escalation contact. You will report to the Regional Operational Account Team Lead.Your Responsibilities
- Establish relationships with customers in North America and abroad; participate in regular contact to facilitate better understanding of customer needs, establish trust and serve as escalation contact
- Clarify, negotiate if needed and formalize operational requirements with the customer
- Increase customer satisfaction and loyalty through design and implementation of customer-specific solutions
- Identify cost improvement opportunities, building on existing operational capabilities and client relationships; engage Kuehne Nagel and customer resources to achieve cost savings
- Facilitate new business by being a subject matter expert on Kuehne Nagel service offerings and operational capabilities
- Be a facilitator and a single contact for implementation of new business, joint projects or any other customer requests not directly related to immediate daily operations
- Implement specific customer defined analytical functions to support export and import activities and regulatory requirements
- Be the contact for issues related to Standard Operating Procedures, operational and administrative non-compliance matters like: Standard Operating Procedure maintenance, distribution, reviews, and definitions with business field partners
- Support RFQ process with data to improve the strategy in partnership with KAM.
- Maintain necessarily set up of the customer information in Kuehne Nagel operational systems, set up automated alerts, and facilitate implementation and maintenance of EDI when needed
- Assist Set up processes with operational branches for new business gained through RFQ's and spot rate requests
- Maintain customer rate card, including requesting of, validation of, and inclusion of new rate requests.
- Monitor internal compliance such as billing and status updates to address accounts receivable, visibility, and other related needs
- Negotiate and formalize customer goals in cooperation with GKAM, RKAM and Business Field Management; Facilitate development of reports for KPI measurements and monitoring of operational performance
- Develop and present materials / data related to KPI performance, projects and any other relevant operational matters during customers Business Reviews on country/ regional/ global level ; assist GKAM/RKAM in preparation of Business Review presentations
Your Skills and Experiences
- Manage internal documentation through leadership and trust
- 3 years of experience undertaking wide-ranging internal and external improvement projects
- In-depth knowledge of forwarder logistics import and export operations, including systems and processes as related to security protocols
- Have lead customer compliance through knowledge of international trade regulations
- 2 years dealing with multinational and multi-department organizations
- 3 years in customer relationship management and communications
- Skills in onboarding new business through implementation best practices

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
