Bobarista/Cashier Job Description
Position purpose:
The Bobarista/Cashier will be responsible for beverage preparation/production and providing excellent guest service to all customers. This position is responsible for all duties involved in the
Front of House and Back of House, including ensuring a clean and safe space to operate. The
Bobarista/Cashier will process orders from customers, manage payment, prepare, and serve products in accordance with Kung Fu Tea’s curated menu, while assisting customers with any needs.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver outstanding and professional guest service by having a “guest comes first” attitude, providing excellent response to guests from the moment they enter the store, using the
Kung Fu Tea 5-STAR Experience guideline.
- Handcraft high-quality beverages according to customers’ specifications by adhering to all standard recipes provided by the company.
- Prepare ingredients such as brewing teas, making fresh fruit juice, cooking tapioca, etc. according to company standard recipes.
- Take customer orders and process payment.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the entire workspace according to New
York Health Department regulations.
- Perform opening or closing duties, which include unpacking deliveries, restocking items, cleaning service and dining lines, preparing products, and dishwashing.
- Set a positive example by ensuring that all Standard Operating Procedures are maintained and followed. Assist other employees from time to time.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Retail tea or coffee or juice shop relevant experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to perform different tasks required within the store.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures and comply with company policies.
- Ability to adjust to new policies, new recipes, and new ingredients.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
