Location:
- Hybrid and/or remote dependent upon location.
- Open to people in the following states: CA, IL, KS, KY, MD, MN, MO, MS. NC, NE, OH, TN, TX, VA, WA, WV.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid auto insurance
- Must be at least 21 years old
Experience:
- At least 2 years of RCM experience
Essential Duties:
Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:
- Check accounts daily for correct payments.
- Report any unusual insurance payments.
- Solve credit balances and billing issues quickly.
- Handle denials and rejections promptly.
- Manage refund requests.
- Send monthly client statements.
- Resolve customer billing inquiries.
- Keep up-to-date on payer policy changes.
- Build relationships with providers.
- Assist with financial aid and payment plans.
- Help with month-end tasks.
- Submit appeals and corrected claims.
- Provide backup support and training.
Biller Responsibilities:
- Review accounts for accuracy.
- Submit claims electronically and on paper.
- Send invoices for special cases.
- Follow up on unpaid invoices.
- Enter charges as needed.
- Clarify account details with other departments.
- Assist with month-end work.
Payment Posting Responsibilities:
- Manage insurance payments and cash.
- Verify details before posting.
- Record payments accurately.
- Ensure balanced posting.
- Assist with payer inquiries and refunds.
- Support month-end tasks.
General RCM Department Responsibilities:
- Build relationships internally and externally.
- Adapt to changes.
- Attend training and meetings.
- Communicate effectively.
- Assist with audits.
- Identify trends.
- Help develop procedures.
- Organize tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Assist with other duties as needed.
