Position Summary: Provide crisis intervention to victims of domestic violence and others needing information, support and referral. Providing crisis intervention to victims of domestic violence who need immediate in-person support and advocacy and do not have an appointment.
Hours: As assigned, 8:30 am-5:30 pm Monday-Friday
Reports to: Support Services Director

Essential Duties:
Direct Client Services:
· Respond to 24-hour Crisis Hotline by providing crisis intervention to victims of domestic violence and others needing information, support and referral.
· Provide crisis intervention to victims of domestic violence who need immediate in-person support and advocacy and do not have an appointment.
· Provide or assist in providing advocacy and referrals to clients by actively helping them to access
necessary services utilizing community resources and partnerships.
· Distribute food, clothing, personal and cleaning supplies to victims as necessary.
· Provided limited case management to victims of domestic violence as needed to address crisis issues.
· Assist victims of domestic violence with accessing other services within the agency.
· Assist victims of domestic violence with accessing other services provided by agency community partners.
· Assist and advocate for clients as necessary with legal and immigration issues, including completing
and filing protective order petitions.
· Be familiar with and follow all La Casa safety and emergency procedures.
· Provide all services in an empathic manner, providing guidance, motivation and encouragement according to trauma-informed guided principles.
Administrative Duties:
· Compile data and complete all required documentation in a timely manner, to include monthly and quarterly reports.
· Maintain compliance with funder requirements in delivering services and completing all required documentation and maintaining organized and completed client files.
· Maintain accurate client electronic files by creating client files and uploading all necessary documentation to meet program requirements.
· Provide back-up coverage for front desk, take messages, donations and schedule new clients as needed.
Training:
· Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings.
· Ongoing professional development including keeping abreast of recent trends and developments regarding domestic violence and advocacy as they pertain to the clients served by La Casa.
· Attend seminars and trainings approved by supervisor.
Expectations:

- Follow all safety rules and guidelines and maintain a neat, safe, organized workspace.
- Assist donors in unloading items into carts and pushing carts to outside donations area as needed.
- Pick up bags/ boxes of donations from outside areas area to maintain clear paths.

Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social work, or a closely related field.
· Experience: A minimum of one (1) year full-time (can be volunteer or paid) advocacy experience in domestic violence or related field.
· Substitution of education/experience: Is allowed on a one for one year basis.
· Language: Bilingual in Spanish/English is highly desirable.
· Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
· Other: (e.g., post-offer drug/alcohol screen, TB test, background check, driver’s license record, proof of COVID-19 vaccination or qualified exemption required prior to hire.
· Warm, empathic, and non-judgmental with demonstrated ability to maintain healthy boundaries with clients and staff.
