Laitram Machinery is currently seeking a Mechanical Drafter for our Harahan area office.

Responsibilities:
- Review/Balance resource requirements for critical control points
- Create and actively manage buffers in the schedule (including in front of critical control points)
- Maintain visibility and timelines for Service, Stock, R&D, and Intercompany requirements
- Assist with expediting material and reviewing impacts of late components
- Review ERP workbenches to proactively catch and correct transaction errors
- Facilitate/execute month end processes and shop order cleanup
- Assist with metric data collection, consolidation, interpretation, and document outliers
- Develop forecasting techniques for reoccurring service components
- Release and maintain shop orders
- Conduct weekly planning meetings; work with supervisors to adjust work hours and/or reallocate resources to maintain timelines
- Continuously seek ways to improve capacity planning, scheduling, order data entry, and office/shop floor communications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Engineering, Business, Production Management, Accounting OR minimum 5 years equivalent relevant experience as a Scheduler or Production Planner

Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- ERP experience; minimum 2 years
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous Production Planning and Scheduling experience
- Infor XA or comparable ERP/MES geared towards manufacturing
- Power BI
- MS Project
- Advanced spreadsheet capabilities
