The payment processing role at Lake City Servicing is for all you detail oriented mathematicians out there. This is a critical role - our payment processors are the heartbeat of what we do! This role also has close interaction with our Accounting Team and Fund Managers. This is an ideal role for an accountant type professional that is interested in real estate finance.
Responsibilities
Process daily lending related payments, disbursements to our lenders/payors, prepare payoff statements/lien releases, assist with escrow disbursements, daily bank reconciliations, and incoming/outgoing wires. This position is part of the Servicing team, but works closely with our accounting, investor relations, origination, and fund management teams. There is also opportunity for database and reporting projects for applicants with those skillsets.
Qualifications
Preference is for applicants with an associate or bachelor's degree in account, business, or finance, but applicants with comparable work experience are encouraged to apply. The tasks performed in this role require strong math aptitude, proficiency with excel, and ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are a must in our fast paced work environment (particularly at month end - but OT is rarely, if ever, required). Direct client interaction and customer service is not a major component of the position, but applicants need the ability to interact with clients via email and on the phone (E.g. borrowers/payees, lenders/payors, vendors, title companies).
Compensation
DOE starting at $24 an hour and up for well qualified applicants.
