What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at Lakehouse Tavern?
Lakehouse Tavern in Hopkinton, NH is looking for Prep and Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. We pride ourselves on making all of our meals from scratch, and are committed to providing excellent service to our loyal customers. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and hard-working. We promote from within, and we are willing to train prep cooks, with the possibility of moving up the line from there. We are also looking for experienced line cooks to assist with prep, and work fry or saute. We provide free food to all kitchen employees, health insurance is available, and a friendly kitchen environment. We open at 12pm and close the kitchen at 9pm, so no crazy late nights! We are located on 157 Main St. in Hopkinton, NH.
Responsibilities:
Prepare all served food
Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions.
Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
Qualifications
Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields
Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
Strong attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paces environment
Ability to work well in teams
