Position Summary
Summary:
In addition to performing RN duties, also performs Team Leader duties to include but not limited to coaching and mentoring collaborating with and motivating staff, leading by example, roundng and conflict management. Under general direction, the Registered Nurse Team Leader works with patients, families, providers and staff to promote timely access to needed care, providing daily continuity of care coordination and educating/coaching patients, families, and caregivers to understand the patients' care plan and self-care manaagement responsibilities. The RN Team leader has a solid understanding of workflows in their department and is committed to maximizing available resources to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. The RN Team Leader works closely with the department manager and acts as an extension of the management team in the manager's absense.

- Actively participates in team development, achieving dashboards and in accomplishing department goals and objectives

Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Essential:
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Education equivalent experience:
Essential:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Nursing or other health-related field
Other information:
Experience Essential:
- MInimum of 3 years experience in an ambulatory setting
- Must complete the LRH Supervisor's Training (e.g. Supervisor Orientation and/or Team Leader Toolkit) within the first six months in role.
- 2 years' experience in specialty (NICU)
Certifications Essential: Basic Cardiac Life Support
Certifications Preferred: Advance Cardiac Life Support, NRP
Licenses Essential: Current license as Registered Nurse in Florida.
