This includes all aspects of production, including pre-production and postproduction duties. The Production Coordinator must be skilled in troubleshooting technical equipment and have a full understanding of various broadcast technologies, and how they work in conjunction with each other. The Production Coordinator will also supervise and train student staff, and part time employees. Other duties may be assigned.

What You’ll Do – Position Duties
As a member of our team, you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day duties for athletics video.
- In charge of pre-production, production, and post-production of all live broadcasts.
- In charge of broadcast engineering operations including preventive maintenance of video switchers, video router, communication devices, distribution amplifiers, and all other equipment required to produce a televised broadcast.
- Schedule of broadcast operations crew for multiple sports.
- Provide production knowledge during live broadcasts.
- Stay current on latest trends within broadcast/production field.
- Maintain rapport with university athletics staff.
- Supervise student and part time staff.
- Work with Director of Media Services to provide a yearly budget request.
- Monitor and maintain all contract and service agreements for services and equipment upkeep.
Perform other duties as assigned by the department head. Other duties may be assigned to this position on a regular or occasional basis to respond to needs of the university.

What You’ll Need to Succeed – Minimum Qualifications
To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:
- Bachelors Degree
- 3 years of experience
Key Competencies:
- Skilled in troubleshooting technical equipment
- Skilled in all areas of broadcasting live sports events
- Knowledge of video equipment
- Ability to produce video content
- Ability to supervise student staff required
- Ability to work nights/weekends required
- Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred
- Strict adherence to established NCAA, Southland Conference, Texas State University System, and Lamar University rules and regulations.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods. Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs
Job Conditions: Candidate could work in inclement weather, heat, and cold.
