Fund Accountant

Company Overview:

A private equity firm with over $2 billion in assets under management focuses on investments in lower middle market and middle market companies in the US through GP-led secondaries deals. The firm is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their growing operations team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the quarterly NAV and financial statement process, reviewing work prepared by a third-party administrator.
• Manage funds’ day-to-day operations, including execution of capital calls and distributions, and facilitating internal and external communications for investors.
• Handle payment of fund fees and expenses and complete weekly bank account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with tax providers on reporting and compliance with all applicable taxes.
• Coordinate the annual audit process, reviewing financial statements prepared by a third-party administrator and coordinating with auditors.
• Work with internal teams to enhance and develop accounting and expense systems and processes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in private equity, fund accounting, or an audit firm.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to work under strict deadlines.
• Willingness to work on a wide range of tasks and ability to prioritize among projects.
• Well-rounded interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently with limited supervision.
  
  

Compensation:

Salary: $135,000 – $150,000, Plus Bonus
