- Generally 4 hours/day, Monday through Friday with occasional flexing of schedules to help with coverage for vacations or illness.
- Schedules may vary with hours increasing during peak periods up to 40 hours per week, up to 1039 hours in a 12 month period.
- An Associates Degree in Multimedia Design or related field.
- One (1) year of experience in a video production/streaming environment.

- Must work and reside in the state of Oregon at the time their work is being performed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design or related field.
- Experience directing video productions
- Experience directing video streaming productions
- Experience with live sound reinforcement
- Advise, assist, and one-on-one instruct student workers (Work Study, L.E.T.S. or Co-op Ed.) in live video/audio production, and in video editing/post-production, use of software for video/audio/photo production, aesthetics of graphics and text, use of Media Production Lab equipment.
- Implement operational policies, procedures, and workflows and disseminate technical information for student workers via online document repositories.
- Support web-conferencing for small and large group events, meetings and classes.
- Operate video switchers, post-production workstations, studio classrooms, Internet protocol video systems, video streaming equipment, microphones and audio mixers, and lighting equipment, ensuring they are fully operational during productions and events.
- Support needs for live sound at college events. Evaluate spaces and event needs for live sound and set up audio reinforcement equipment (PA systems, microphones, mixers). Integrate PA/Room feeds with live streaming and conferencing production as needed.
- Test and troubleshoot diverse products and components for operation, connectivity, and interoperability, areas of incompatibility, and benefits/trade-offs involved. Solve computer and electronic operational problems of increasing complexity, scope, and impact, and devise workflows and workarounds accordingly.
- Post-produce video recordings of College events, classes and supplementary classroom videos.
- Edit and enhance video and audio, and solve problems found in raw “footage” with editing software.
- Add additional graphics, intros, outros and College logos.
- Ensure Media Services Production Lab computers and other equipment are in full working order.
- Contact manufacturer tech support as needed via phone or email.
- Initiate work orders for repairs and software installation.
- Clear hard drives of old project files and verify completed productions are archived in Network Attached Storage.
- Track times and locations of all scheduled events where Media Services provides services and/or equipment to ensure staff and equipment are available and in place at proper times.
- Assign our student workers to support events as needed.
- Fill in as needed for unavailable student workers.
- Select equipment and set up on-location multiple camera video shoots, and live multi-media presentations.
- Interface our equipment into College infrastructure, such as built-in audio/visual systems, “smart classrooms,” and computer sub-networks.
- Assist with or direct video shoots.
- Organize and maintain equipment storage areas.
- Problem solve and manage sensitive information with appropriate awareness of FERPA standards; maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the privacy needs of students.
- Other duties as assigned.

Must be able to operate a variety of equipment including computer hardware and software, office equipment, etc.
- Ability to react quickly when equipment malfunctions and to take effective action to correct malfunctions; ability to troubleshoot system problems in consultation with technicians.
- Knowledge of how to operate video and still cameras, picture composition, exposure, and 3-point lighting. Knowledge of recording formats, camera menu settings, and proper transfer of “footage” from camera to computer.
- Knowledge of audio production techniques for live events, video production and streaming production.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret users’ written and oral requests: facilitating problem-solving by synthesizing actual technical issues from users’ perceptions and descriptions.
- Skill in organizing work.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to follow schedules accurately.
- Work cooperatively with others in work “pressure” settings, characterized by frequently changing work priorities, multi-task workflow, open-ended assignments and detailed work, requiring a high degree of accuracy.
- Knowledge of: Mac and Windows operating environments, Adobe Creative Applications (Photoshop, lllustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Audition), Non-linear editing systems, Computer-based media editing and production systems, Computer and hardware-based audio recording and editing systems, High Definition DSLR and ENG camera systems and digital capture, Digital file ingestion and archiving methods, Basic network principles, Video Conferencing Systems.
