Business Technology Consultant

Position: vCIO / Senior Business Technology Consultant

Location: Hybrid / Remote (Travel to client sites 2 times per week)

Type: Full-Time

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic vCIO / Senior Business Technology Consultant to join our team. This role is ideal for a seasoned IT professional with a deep understanding of business technology needs, who can provide high-level consulting services to our clients. The position is remote, but the candidate must be willing to travel to client sites approximately twice per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the client’s business objectives, ensuring technology supports overall business goals.

Technology Planning: Advise clients on technology investments, upgrades, and the adoption of new tools and systems that enhance operational efficiency.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate IT-related risks, including cybersecurity threats, to protect client assets and data.

Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and cost-effective solutions.

IT Governance: Ensure that all IT operations comply with industry regulations, best practices, and the specific needs of each client.

Budgeting and Financial Oversight: Assist clients in managing their IT budgets, ensuring that investments deliver maximum return on investment.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with client’s internal IT teams or manage outsourced IT functions to ensure seamless technology operations.

Client Engagement: Regularly meet with clients to review IT performance, address concerns, and discuss future technology needs.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT leadership roles, including experience as a CIO, vCIO, or Senior IT Consultant.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISM) are a plus.

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and enterprise software solutions.

Business Acumen: Ability to align IT strategies with business goals and understand the financial implications of technology decisions.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Travel: Willingness to travel to client sites up to two times per week.

Remote Work: Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients in a remote environment.

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
