The Spirit of the Position:
The HR Administrator supports the Home Office team with a commitment to assisting LAZ Parking in delivering a world-class employment experience for our nearly 14,000 employees across the country. This role is responsible for providing HR generalist support services to LAZ Parking’s Home Office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage HR initiatives and tasks for entire home office employee base.
- Create and drive employee relations initiatives that support the strategic vision of our people-first culture
- Manage and maintain expense reports on a weekly/bi-weekly basis. Ensure that phones and emails are answered and triaged to the appropriate HR Regions or departments.
- Plan and execute logistics for Home Office and HR events (i.e. HR retreats, HR meetings, lunches).
- Handle a large volume of incoming phone calls, from employees and vendors related to HR inquiries.
- Support the new hire orientation process as needed in the Home Office.
- Maintain office supply inventories and process orders as needed
- Provide scheduling support for prospective/new employee interviews/onboarding in the Office.
- Manage the supply of office equipment, machines or properties to the office.
- Schedule meetings for various HR team members and external candidates.
- Create agendas and arrange travel and meetings for new hires and HR guests
- Prepare correspondence, reports, memorandums, applications, certificates, permits and other materials from copy, rough drafts and other sources.
- Update employee records in ADP as requested (revise effective dates, modify employment eligibility, upload employee documents)
- Pull invoices & detailed billing for new hire system vendors and manipulate data for Accounts Payable
- Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying.
- Provide general support to VP & SVP of HR through varying tasks and small projects and other tasks as requested.
EDUCATION:
- Associates Degree preferred.
SKILLS:
- Prior experience with HRIS or other HR technology desired but not required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, strong Internet skills using external websites.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks through to completion in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well with team members as well as independently.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time in order to meet set deadlines.
- Proven problem-solving abilities.
- Attention-to-detail and high-level of accuracy required.
- Commitment to confidentiality required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years administrative experience.
- 1-2 years related HR administration experience preferred, not required.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds.
