What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Le Jardin Community?
Under the guidance and supervision of the Facilities Manager, the custodian will maintain an assigned Start site in a neat and clean condition. The custodian will do the daily custodian work required to maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Custodial Work:
- Scrub, disinfect floors
- Clean tile, dividers, baseboards, furniture
- Clean, disinfect bathrooms
- Check and replace linen, toilet paper, hand soap, deodorizers
- Vacuum all carpet areas
- Empty, clean waste papers baskets trash cans and line baskets if needed
- Set-up and break down of furniture for special meeting and on-going events
- Clean light fixtures and AC filters
- Replace burned out light bulbs as required
- Paints, when needed
- Perform other duties as required for center maintenance
- Administration has the authority to assign additional duties as seen fit for the benefit of the organization
Qualifications:
- Ability to follow instructions in English.
- Ability to read English labels and instructions on solvents and cleaning materials.
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift 20 pounds

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Monday through Friday.
20 hours per week.
