Essential Functions

  • Gain a full end‑to‑end understanding of business processes and ensure ongoing support for existing legacy systems such as BASIS, AMCS, Great Plains, VERTEX, and Samsara.
  • Partner with the MSP to support, enhance, and troubleshoot current applications.
  • Lead the development team in interpreting business requirements and producing key reports; serve as the primary liaison between management and developers.
  • Oversee version control, upgrades, and application patching while partnering with IT Infrastructure to deploy updates.
  • Assess and manage outsourced Application Managed Services (AMS) providers, ensuring both quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to identify pain points and champion continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Identify and implement quick-win process improvements by automating manual or paper-based workflows with minimal investment.
  • Serve as the technical advisor and subject matter expert for application systems, offering guidance on emerging technologies.
  • Develop and execute the long-term technology roadmap in alignment with business priorities.
  • Contribute to implementations, administration, integrations, and optimization efforts for the new ERP system across all business functions.
  • Establish best practices for system governance, security, and compliance in collaboration with executives and stakeholders.
  • Support change management initiatives to ensure adoption and standardization of new processes and systems.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting on progress, risks, and business outcomes related to application initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with blended experience in finance/field services and technology delivery.
  • 10 years of IT experience, including 5 years in leadership roles overseeing enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of business process flows, data flows, and system security best practices.
  • Experience managing AMS providers and external consulting partners.
  • Proven success leading or contributing to ERP or large-scale system implementation projects (Finance, Field Services).
  • Experience with CRM, scheduling, routing, optimization, and rental/lease business models is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change in fast-paced environments and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Solid understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends and how to apply them to evolving business models.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate conflict diplomatically and promote collaboration.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and cross-functional teams.

Required Skills

  • Strategic, hands-on leader capable of balancing operational stability with long-term transformation goals.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, from executives to technical contributors.
  • Ability to meet with business leaders to document current processes and produce detailed business requirements, including process flows (as-is/to-be), gap analyses, customizations, data needs, integration points, test scenarios, and reporting requirements.
  • Proven project leadership and change management experience to ensure adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Collaborative leadership style that builds trust, accountability, and alignment across business and IT teams.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to understand underlying table structures for data extraction.
  • Knowledge of systems such as Oracle Fusion, Acumatica, and Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development/testing frameworks (Waterfall, Scrum, rapid prototyping, DevOps).
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services (Azure, AWS, GCP) and integration platforms.

Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
