As our finance and accounting subject matter expert, our Financial Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Company’s daily, monthly, and annual financial activities, including financial reporting, accounting operations, and financial statements.

As our finance and accounting subject matter expert, our Financial Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Company’s daily, monthly, and annual financial activities, including financial reporting, accounting operations, and financial statements.

- Oversee Legal Monkeys' financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis
- Plan, direct, and manage accounting operations, investing, banking, insurance, securities, and other financial activities
- Oversee the cash flow of financial assets
- Maintain the organization's General Ledger
- Conduct month end close activities
- Prepare financial reports
- Develop and implement financial and accounting procedures to improve operational efficiency
- Evaluate financial reporting systems
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting
- Flourish in detail-oriented position
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related experience required. CPA highly preferred.
- Experience: 5 years of Accounting experience required; Public Accounting experience preferred. Management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, debits, credits, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Leadership: Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Technology Proficiency: Strong software skills. Advanced in MS Excel required. Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred.
- Analytical & Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and project management skills. Technical ability in strategic and financial planning.
