Job Description
Were seeking a hands-on JIRA Administrator to lead the setup, configuration, and rollout of a new JIRA Cloud instance across multiple development teams. This individual will help unify our front-end, middle-tier, and back-end engineering efforts into a single, scalable agile board and guide the team on JIRA best practices to improve visibility, collaboration, and delivery velocity.
What Success Looks Like
A single JIRA Cloud instance in place, fully supporting all three dev teams.
Team members confidently using JIRA to track work, surface blockers, and plan sprints.
Leadership able to rely on JIRA reports to make decisions without needing side-channel status updates.
PR: $55/hr

Key Responsibilities:
Stand up and configure a new JIRA Cloud instance tailored to our development workflows.
Integrate three cross-functional Scrum teams (front-end, middleware, and back-end) into a unified and efficient board structure.
Design, implement, and maintain custom workflows, issue types, fields, screens, and permissions.
Conduct hands-on training sessions and coaching for team members on JIRA best practices and agile tracking/reporting.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and filters that provide meaningful insights into team performance.
Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to ensure JIRA aligns with how we actually build and ship.
Recommend and implement automation, plugins (e.g., ScriptRunner, Automation for JIRA), and integrations with tools like Confluence, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience administering JIRA Cloud in a multi-team agile environment.
Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
Experience designing and implementing custom JIRA workflows and field configurations.
Comfortable working with cross-functional engineering teams and adapting tooling to real-world dev cycles.
Strong communication and training skills able to turn chaos into clarity. Nice-to-Have:
Experience with JIRA automation (built-in or via add-ons).
Familiarity with CI/CD systems and DevOps toolchains (Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc.).
Confluence administration experience.
Basic understanding of REST APIs and scripting (for JIRA integrations). null
