Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a part-time (0.8 FTE) Vocal Music teacher at Bear Creek Elementary beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. Must have, or be eligible to receive a Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement, music endorsement preferred. Experience with Orff instrumental instruction is preferred. This position works five days a week with varying hours each day. There is also the opportunity for additional duties with weekly morning choir. Exact placement on the salary schedule can only be determined by the Chief Human Resources Officer upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 9 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 10, per school board policy. This salary range is $38,830 (Level 1, Step 2) up to $56,178 (Level 10, Step 10) dependent on education and experience levels. The current teacher salary schedule (2022-23) can be found on our website.
Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
